Extra Duty Brake Pads use a heavy-duty friction compound engineered for high-load braking engineered for Ford. This is a compound we recommend for towing, hauling, larger tires, and 4×4/off-road duty cycleswith stable pedal feel and consistent response when braking loads rise.

Trucks and SUVs see higher brake loads from vehicle mass, towing, and larger tirespad stability and heat management matter. Compared with many factory pad formulations, this compound typically delivers higher friction levels and improved fade resistance when installed correctly and bedded-in properly.

Features & Benefits

• Increased braking torque vs typical OEM pads
• Stable friction characteristics across a broad temperature range
• Designed to handle higher vehicle mass, towing loads, and off-road duty cycles
• Improved resistance to fade under repeated braking
• Predictable pedal feel with progressive modulation
• Compatible with OEM and performance replacement rotors
• Bedding-in required to establish a consistent transfer layer

Best For

Best brake pad upgrade for Ford owners who tow, haul, run 4×4/off-road, or carry added weight and want confident, consistent braking.

Common Questions

Are these better than factory brake pads?
In most applications, yes. Expect stronger bite and improved fade resistance during repeated stops. Results depend on rotor condition and proper bedding.

Do I need to bed these pads in?
Yes. Bedding is critical to establish a stable transfer layer and achieve consistent friction and pedal feel.

Are these good for towing and 4×4 use?
Yes. These pads are aimed at higher brake loads and repeated braking events that come with towing, larger tires, and off-road use.
